Known professionally as Markmuday, Nelson is a Sierra Leonean Afropop singer, songwriter, and audio producer. Born and raised in Freetown, he discovered his passion for music in his teens — teaching himself keyboard and writing his first songs.

In 2019 he founded his own label, Slim Nation Music — the vehicle for his next chapter, releasing projects like Mama Salone and a steady run of singles that pushed his sound across West Africa and the diaspora.

Now based in Australia, he bridges cultures through music — collaborating with Solidstar on Shine Shine Borbor and Harmonize on Stress, and taking his sound to stages in The Gambia, Ghana (Ghana Meets Naija, 2018), and Dubai. At home in Sierra Leone he stays a visible advocate, serving as an ambassador for Hands Off Our Girls and major national brands.
